Passaic County Replacement of Fair Lawn Avenue Bridge

Project consists of replacing the Fair Lawn Avenue Bridge over the Passaic River.
Roadway work includes grading, drainage, utility relocation, paving, disposal of regulated material, and installation of guiderail.
Structural work includes demolition of the existing Fair Lawn Avenue Bridge over the Passaic River and construction of a new bridge over the Passaic River. In order to construct the new bridge Anselmi designed, fabricated and installed a temporary work bridge.
The project is being constructed utilizing Value Engineering Designs prepared by Anselmi & DeCicco, Inc. which result in a credit to the project.
- The original design proposed construction of micropiles supporting the new bridge pier and abutments.
- Anselmi’s alternate design includes 42” diameter drilled shafts supporting the center pier and H-Piles supporting the west abutment.
